School-Based Problem Solving  Committee

This is the SBPS group meeting.  (Left to Right) Mrs. B. Anderson, Mrs. Lacy, Mrs. Kelley, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. G. Anderson. What is SBPS? School-Based Problem Solving is a regular education initiative for students who are at risk of school failure.

The SBPS process utilizes curriculum-based assessments, interviews and observations to gather relevant data on students.  Our goal is to improve the student's academic and/or classroom behavior and to improve and refine instructional skills so that the regular education classroom teacher is better enabled to teach students with diverse learning characteristics and needs.

Mrs. F. Tate, CPS mentor for SBPS, addresses teachers and ESPs in the Firman theater.
