Teachers and parents registered at 8:30 for the NASA Project Conference that was hosted by the Chicago Public Schools Office of Schools and Regions on April 28, 2001.

Dr. Lynn Narasimhan gives teachers a NASA update.

Julia Palos of Schools and Regions introduces presenters to the audience. Dr. Rhodri Evans gave a presentation on the war on light pollution.

NASA Teacher coordinators shared 
their successes and accomplishments.


 

Vivian Hoette of the Yerkes Observatory showed teachers how to teach invisible astronomy.  Schools shared pictures and projects.

Randolph Teachers, Ms. Schaults, Ms. Lombardo and Mrs. Migas display the solar wind indicator that they built at the workshop.  NASA coordinators and Principals received awards for their participation. Greg Lopatka of Randolph School gets congratulations from Vivian Hoette.
