The Randolph Aerospace students found out that Rocket Science is fun.  They got a chance to show off their home made Rockets to Julia Palos and Dr. Elvie Rhone, from the CPS Schools and Regions office and Dr. Constance G. Hollingsworth from NASA.

Several Saturdays in January and February, Randolph's Aerospace students met at the Thurgood Marshall Library where Mr. Lopatka presented his NASA slide shows.

After the presentation, everybody went over to Popeye's Chicken for a tasty treat.

When the chicken ran out, parents picked up the students.  Paris' Dad gives him the horns.

Last month a group of Chicago students used ham radio gear to talk to
astronauts on the International Space Station.  Their long-distance chat
was the first of it's kind.  http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast30jan_1.htm?list87135
