Every day since the spring of 1995, Randolph students have been making atmospheric observations of the clouds, precipitation and temperature.  They have sent over 8000 measurements over the internet to a GLOBE database.

Randolph Magnet School is located on the southwest side of Chicago (7300 South and 2100 West). The neighborhood is predominately African-American with low to middle income families residing in single family homes. Located in the West Englewood area of Chicago, Randolph Magnet School opened in the fall of 1980, and was built to accommodate 900 students. The current enrollment of Randolph is close to 1000, Pre-K through 6th grade students. Our poverty level is over 90 % as evidenced by the State School Report Card.  The faculty is a stable, racially balanced, extremely talented mixture of young and tenured
teachers bringing a wealth of expertise to the students. 47% of the professional staff have masters degrees and above. There are 3 administrators, 56 teachers and 24 educational support staff and 6 school support staff members.
